Ace Magashule’s former PA expected to appear in court

BLOEMFONTEIN – Former Free State Premier Ace Magashule’s former PA will appear in court on Monday morning.
Moroadi Cholota will make her first appearance in Bloemfontein after being extradited from the US.
Cholota was meant to be a state witness to blow the roof off the multi-million rand asbestos tender scandal.

But, she moved to the US and, while there, refused to cooperate with investigations.
The NPA then charged her and issued a warrant for her arrest.
Working with Interpol, Cholota was arrested in April and stood before a Maryland court.

She tried to block the extradition at the Constitutional Court, but that failed.
Cholota is expected to apply for bail.
The rest of the suspects, including five companies, return to court on 15 April 2025.
Cholota’s cousin says her arrest has been devastating for the family.
